Art Casting of Illinois, Inc. has created beautiful and unique patinas for thousands of clients over 30 years of combined experience. We believe that choosing the right patina is integral to the success of your piece and thankfully we have the ability to please any order. The patina process uses specific chemicals along with or with out heat to artificially oxidize the bronze and archive an array of colors and textures. A wax is applied after the patina which helps to protect the surface. Colored wax can be used to emphasize a desired effect. For outdoor pieces, we use a lacquer after the patina to provide a stronger shield against the elements. A wax can then be applied for additional protection.
